SEQUENCE TO WORK CAD-CAM

1. Receive product samples, drawings of customer products
2. Technical Meeting with the customer, to determine the technical agreement
3. Designing a product image, product measurement, Assembly Design
4. 3D Modeling
5. Detail Drawing complete the work plan needs
6. Checking
7. Order Materials
8. Delivery Detail drawings and 3D Modeling
9. Monitoring mold process (stand-by)

1. Accept the job of customer

Data from a customer in the form of:
   a. Image component (Hard Print)
   b. 2D Data (soft data) - CAD data is usually a file dwg, dxf, pdf, etc.
   c. 3D Data (Modeling) is usually in the iges file, IGS, STP, step, Parasolid, etc.
   d. Sample (Component)

Each - each of the above data should be checked each other.
If there is a distinction to be made a report (Report) to the Technical Meeting
the customer can specify which data should be used.

2. Technical Meeting with customers

Of the Technical Meeting is expected all the details of data for mold making process can be obtained.
Details can be seen in the specification of Mold.

3. Assembly Design

Step - step in making assembly design
   a. Specify the layout of products
things that underlie the determination of the lay out, among others:
      1. The amount of the required cavity
      2. Direction undercut Slide or Lift Core (if any)
      3. Type gate used

   b. Determining the size of the mold base.
The basis for determining the size of the mold base
      1. Lay out the determination of the product
      2. tonnage injection molding machine used

   c. Completing Assembly Design
things that must be considered in making assy detail design
      1. Installation of the slide or lift cores
      2. Determine which parts of which must be in pairs of inserts
      3. Determine Stroke.
      4. Installation of ejector pin.
      5. Installation of Cooling.
      6. Mounting bolts.
      7. Installation of standard parts.

Details Design Assembly is what will be the reference for the creation of 3D Mold Design and
Detail Drawing (Drawing Processing). Addition of Assembly Design we can make
Order Schedule, ranging from Mold base, Insert, up to the standard part.

4. 3D Modeling

    3D modeling include:
   A. Modeling Component
If the data received from the customer only 2D Cad drawings of components or the data or samples only
(Without 3D modeling component) we have to make 3D modeling components.
In making this 3D modeling there are some things that must be considered include:
        a. Product form
        b. Dimensional tolerances
        c. Taper (draft angel)
        d. Parting line

By making 3D modeling we will be obvious which parts are undercut
or which part should be installed insert. This is definitely going to be easier for us in designing
Each mold later finished the modeling component we must check it out.

   B. 3D Mold Design
Modeling a complete mold for the CAM (based Assembly Design).
    Some advantages of this modeling:
        a. Details will be known contour
        b. Checking Assembly Drawing
        c. Help facilitate the making of the Master EDM
        d. Processing section will be more informed about the total Assembly for the mold

5. Drawing Details

Drawing Details for part - the part that we can make before the standard 3D modeling completed by
Assembly Details Design reference, but for the parts that relate to the components must
drafting the form of 3D Mold Design.
We should detail this picture as clearly as possible and sekomunikatif possible, due to the
This image processing section will make the item / part of the mold that is ordered by the customer.
After completion of detailed pictures we shall check it before drawing down, by means of:
       a. Check Item Details
       b. Check the completeness of the image
       c. Check the completeness dimension (especially in the image on the scale)
       d. Check Assembly Item Details
       e. Grab all the items details.
        f. Discard all dimensions.
       g. Paint with different colors.
       h. Combine all items.
        i. Check the details, if there are matching.

Once completed checked we can print these pictures to be sent to the Processing.

6. Checking

This checking process is checking a total of detailed drawings to 3D modeling usual
conducted by the Leader and co-leader is expected to more checks will further reduce
percentage of errors that can occur.

7. Order Materials

The ordering of material to play Cavity / Core can we order along with Assembly drawing
(After check all). Better-for ordering material did have to wait all
design has been completed in check, but by reason of the limited time (targeted delivery) usually order
   material before drawing details completed.

8. Delivery Detail drawings and 3D Modeling

After going through the process of checking Details 3D Drawing and Modeling can be sent to the
Processing to include the Drawing List and Modeling List.

9. Monitoring mold process (stand-by)

Although 2D drawings and 3D Modeling has been sent to the processing, permanent monitoring is
of each item is made by using Part Control Sheet (because most know
about the details of the mold is designer itself). Expected to monitoring or
This check can suppress errors or forgetfulness factor in processing time.
