Basically the injection mold consist of two halves,one mold half contains the sprue bushing and runner system,the other half houses the ejector system.the molded part is located at the parting line.
The design of mold is determined by the molded part to be produced the following basic types exist;
* Parts without undercuts e.q.tumblers,bowls,comb.
* Parts with external undercut or side opening.e.g,spott core,treaded parts.
* Parts with internal undercut.e.q.threaded clousures,snap-in clamps.
* Parts possesing external and internal undercut,parts for fountain pens with internal and external treads.
